The Tangent Screen is used to map a patient's peripheral vision by recording his/her response to test objects placed on the screen while the patient's stare is fixed on center target. The 1-meter black felt screen is mounted on a spring roller with mounting brackets. This 22.5° tangent screen provides an accurate method of charting the central and para-central field of vision, which is invaluable in diagnosing pathological conditions. Visual field testing is executed at a distance of 1 meter. Semi-visible black markings (exaggerated above) showing concentric circles, radial lines, and blind spots assist in testing, scoring, and transcribing the mapped fields for visual field analysis. The OS-501 Complete Tangent Screen Kit comes with all accessories including a 1-1/2mm white test object, 18" wand, black marking pins and a pad 50 double recording chart score sheets. CPT Code 920081.
