Essilor's PAL-ID2 3-in-1 Lens Inspection Station illuminates and brings into focus, progressive addition lens manufacturer's engravings, revealing such information as model, material and 180 reference marks, which are otherwise invisible. With the Essilor PAL-ID2, engravings appear three dimensionally embossed, and are easily read or marked. With the PAL Engraving Identifier, the faint marks appear regardless of the age or the condition of the lens. The PAL-Identification function is the same as its predecessor PAL-ID, except the new PAL-ID2 also includes a Polariscope and Final Inspection Lamp.
PAL Engraving Identifier: A specially designed, back-illuminated grid naturally draws your focus upon the magnified manufacturer's etchings for easy identification.
Polariscope: The Polariscope allows you to identify and check the orientation of polarized spectacle lenses, detect hidden mounting-stress points and easily identify tempered glass lenses.
Final Inspection Lamp: The Final Inspection Lamp combines white back-lighting and magnification to help you spot scratches and lens abnormalities in finished lenses.
Unlike the original PAL-ID, the new PAL-ID2 employs LED illumination, which eliminates the need for replacement bulbs, and it tilts forward for comfortable use in a seated position.
