LEA Numbers Translucent 10' Eye Chart
LEA Numbers Translucent 10' Eye Charts are designed to be used with the Goodlite Model A+, and Quantum Series Illuminated Eye Chart Cabinets. These LEA Symbol Translucent Acuity Charts also work with earlier Goodlite Model A, and Model M Lighted Eye Chart Cabinets.. These durable 9" x 14" (22.9cm x 35.6cm) plastic eye charts have proportionally spaced lines from 20/125 to 20/8 (6/38 to 6/2.4 equivalent) and are designed for vision acuity testing at a distance of 10 feet.
LEA Numbers were developed for international studies in occupational health and school health. Tests that use letters, such as Sloan Letters, are used almost exclusively in the western world in former colonies of western empires. Numbers, on the other hand, are used to test visual acuity in most parts of the world. The numbers 5, 6, 8 and 9 are used because they can be designed to blur equally.
