Near Point Accommodation Rule
With this simple bifurcated rule, the examiner can make direct readings of accommodation near point and convergence near point respectively, without having to worry about anterior focal points or PcB. These matters have been corrected automatically in the design. Because convergence and accommodation are separate functions based on different land marks, the dark median portion of this rule is used to mark convergence near point and the outer portion for accommodation.
