Designed as a night glass for mariners, the Swift 716 waterproof, nitrogen filled binocular is also equiped with a Suunto compass which gives bearings for acurate piloting. Above the compass screen, is a vertical and horizontal reticle measuring either distance or object's height, - an instrument very useful in coastal navigation. Fully magenta coated-Rare Earth, or BAK-4 prisms and a high relative light factor of 84.2. Its special characteristics make it also desired by all weather duck hunters and bird watchers.
