   This Premium Vision Screener is designed to ergonomically accommodate the varying heights of adults and children. The Titmus Comfort Height Adjustment capability ensures that whether a patient is seated or standing, they are in a comfortable position for testing, which is essential for efficient and accurate vision screening.  Vision Testing done with the Titmus i500 instrument is at the Natural Line of Sight - looking straight ahead for distance and downward for near vision. By simply turning a knob, the progressive lens wearer can adjust the line of sight, so that the optimum portion of the lens is being used to view the test.  Titmus has designed the i500 vision screener understanding the value of portability. The instrument has an integrated folding handle and the remote Touch Screen Control Panel conveniently mounts (stows) on the back of the instrument for ease-of-transport. It also features side storage pockets to hold / transport accessories and forms.  New fluorescent test illumination meets ANSI & ISO standards for illumination using a true white light source. This significatnly improves slide illuminaton, closely replicating actual daylight conditions and providing true color testing. The light module has a warranty of three years! The Titmus i500 Vision Screener has a built-in sensor to recognize correct head positioning and a new soft headrest to promote proper positioning. The i500 Vision Screener can perform peripheral vision screening in the horizontal visual field at 85, 70, 55 and nasal 45 degrees for each eye. Titmus has also incorporated a night vision testing feature in the i500 instrument to screen vision during night driving conditions. A variety of tests (see Vision Screener Slides) are available for the Titmus i500 instrument to screen for visual acuity, muscle balance (horizontal and vertical phoria), depth perception, color perception and binocular vision.
