Bangerter Occlusion Foils

Bangerter Occlusion Foils are a system of graded foils (thin flexible static vinyl) of varying opacities designed to equalize the spatial contrast of the dominant, to that of the amblyopic eye. Occlusion Foils stick to eye glass lenses and can be trimmed with scissors to match the frame shape. Visual acuity approximated by each foil:

BOF-0.0 No Visual Acuity, Total Occlusion

BOF-LP No Visual acuity, Light Perception Only

BOF-LT0.1 Acuity of Less Than 20/300

BOF-0.1 Acuity of 20/200

BOF-0.2 Acuity of 20/100

BOF-0.3 Acuity of 20/70

BOF-0.4 Acuity of 20/50

BOF-0.6 Acuity of 20/30

BOF-0.8 Acuity of 20/25

BOF-1.0 Acuity of 20/20
