Unlettered Persons

This series of Ishihara color plates is designed to detect color blindness in persons 4 to 6 years of age or in (unlettered) persons who cannot read. Ishihara's Infant or Pediatric design charts (plates) consist of simple geometric shapes such as circles, squares, and curved lines. Dr. Ishihara's color perception test charts are recognized internationally as a highly reliable method of determining color deficiency. The Ishihara color test is available in the more detailed 14, 24, or 38 plate editions.
